Katherine Weatherford* -
Dorothy Gale Katherine Weatherford is thrilled to be back on the stage with Greenwood Lake Theater! You may have seen her last year as Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. In addition to performing with the company, Katherine serves as Co-Artistic Director alongside Mary McKinley. Past stage credits include Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show, Judy Haynes in White Christmas, Ariel Moore in Footloose, and Maria in West Side Story. She has also appeared in numerous independent films, websites and television shows, including over 30 appearances as a guest presenter for Mysteries at the Museum on the Travel Channel. Elyse is so excited to be back at Greenwood Lake! She portayed Marcy Park in last summer's production of the 25th Annual...Spelling Bee. Other favorites are Betty Schaefer in Sunset Blvd., Linda in Wedding Singer, Viviane in Legally Blonde, and Hunyak in Chicago. Elyse has performed internationally, having worked for Hong Kong Disneyland. Thank you so much to the GWL community for being so wonderful and supportive! Nick Pearson is an Ohio native and 8-year resident of NYC, he is proud to be a part of GWLT. Regionally, Nicholas has been seen as Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol (Jenny Wiley Theatre), Moose in Crazy For You (Prather Entertainment), DA Harrison in Chicago, Sir Bedevere in SPAMALOT, and Eddie in Rocky Horrow Show (all at the Barn Theatre). Nicholas served as Director for GWLT’s 2016 production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He and Katherine Weatherford co-created How Come I'm Not Yet Famous?, an independent pilot on YouTube. Much love and gratitude for this staff, cast, crew, and the parents of our young artists! Yaniv is so honored to be back at GLT after his debut with the company in "25th...Spelling Bee" in 2016. Director/Stage Manager Michael is so excited to be directing the Wizard Of Oz! Michael is graduate of Millikin University where he achieved his BFA. Michael's directorial debut was at Millikin University when he directed Two Rooms by Lee Blessing. Michael has been a professional actor for 15 years and has worked all over the country. Some of his favorite roles include Tony in West Side Story and Marius in Les Miserables. Other roles would include Chip in Spelling Bee, Laurie in Little Women, Jamie in The Last Five Years, and Abraham in Altar Boyz. Michael is currently based in New York City and remains very active in staged readings and classes. Most recently, he has contributed to the new musical Spot On The Wall and Illa: A Hip Hop Musical, both of which were featured in the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Michael would love to thank his wonderful friends and family for all of their support and Elyse for being the magical human she is. Dallyn Brunck - Choreography & Costume Design
Dallyn Brunck is thrilled to be back in Greenwood Lake! She is an actor from Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Dallyn was recently in the national tour of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas and was seen last summer lisping as Logainne in Greenwood Lake Theater’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Dallyn worked at the Spotlight theatre camp at JCC Louisville. She helped choreograph and teach material to students ages 5 to 12. Camp sessions culminated in fully-staged children’s musicals such as Pirates! the Musical, DinoStars, and A Barnyard Moosical. She received her BFA musical theatre degree from Ball State University and has studied dance from a young age. Dallyn now continues her dance training at Broadway Dance Center. More credits include Cabaret (Sally Bowles- Muncie Civic Theatre), Hair (Jeannie- The Barn Theatre), and Hairspray (Amber- CenterStage Louisville). Dallyn also performed at the legendary Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre in New York in An Evening of Irving Berlin directed by Sutton Foster. Dallyn now resides in NYC with her boyfriend Kevin. Aunt Em/Glinda Witch of the North Mary grew up in Virginia and currently resides in beautiful Greenwood Lake. Theater: Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Rosalind in As You Like It; Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing; Helena & Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream; the title role in the world premiere of Anna Nicole: Blonde Glory; Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire; Hermione in The Winter's Tale; and Claire in Proof. Film & Web: Payaso (Clown), Three from the Block, The Otherworld, and Poker Night. She is the Co-Artistic Director of Greenwood Lake Theater. Bachelor of Music from East Carolina University, and a Master of Arts from Radford University. Alan is thrilled to be a part of Greenwood Lake Theater's Wizard of Oz. He was one of the founding performers of the Fairway Players in Augusta, Maine. Seen there as Spider/Newsboy in Jekyll & Hyde, as Mark Cohen in Rent and as Anthony in Sweeney Todd, a role which he was asked to reprise as part of the New York Arts Program at Lincoln Center in New York. Off-Broadway Credits include: Alex Abernathy in A (Tooth) Fairy Tale, Imaginary Fred in Extraordinary!, Jason/Ornias in The Klezmer Nutcracker, & Peter in Pinkalicious the Musical. Other Credits include: Alan in Babes in Toyland (AFT West Coast Tour), Jesus in Godspell, & Jonny Warner in Zombie Prom. Marc Bitler has had the great fortune of working in theatre across the U.S. with companies such as The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, ArtsPower National Tours, Jenny Wiley Theater, Musicals Tonight, and Festival 56. He is very happy to now add Greenwood Lake Theater to that list. Previous training and education from DeSales University, The British American Drama Academy. John Kownacki is thrilled to be making his Greenwood Lake Theater debut this summer! Originally from Virginia, John obtained his B.M. in Music Theatre from James Madison University and is currently in pursuit of his M.S. Ed in Educational Theatre at The City College of New York, CUNY. As a teaching artist and educator, John has directed numerous youth productions for Inside Broadway, Phoenix Theatre Ensemble and NIA Community Services Network. Previous acting credits include: Curly in Oklahoma, Smudge in Forever Plaid, Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof, and the MC in the national tour of In the Mood. Kevin White - Musical Director
Kevin is over the rainbow to be joining this talented group for another production at Greenwood Lake Theatre. Previous Greenwood Lake: THE 25th ANNUAL… SPELLING BEE. Most recently, Kevin served as associate music director and keyboard programmer for MAMMA MIA at Northern Stage in White River Junction, VT. In New York, Kevin has served as music director for GYPSY at The Gallery Players in Brooklyn, and associate conductor/assistant music director for OKLAHOMA! at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, NY. He has musically helped create several one-man shows, which have played all over NYC. Favorites include IMPERFECT and most recently 36 EXPRESSIONS where he created a 36 (yes... thirty six) song medley. As an actor, Kevin spent seven seasons in the resident equity company of The Barn Theatre in Michigan. Favorite roles include: Lonny (ROCK OF AGES), Johnny (AMERICAN IDIOT), Sir Robin (SPAMALOT), Huck (BIG RIVER), Joseph (JOSEPH... TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT), Brad (ROCKY HORROR), and Berger (HAIR).
